Head
In Skin Tone/Purple Yarn, Ch 2, sc 6 into second ch from hook
R1 – inc in each sc (12 sts)
R2 – *sc, inc* x6 (18 sts)
R3 – *sc 2, inc* x6 (24 sts)
R4 – *sc 3, inc* x6 (30 sts)
R5 – *sc 4, inc* x6 (36 sts)
R6-8 – sc in each sc (36 sts per row)
R9 – *sc 4, dec* x6 (30 sts)
R10 – *sc 3, dec* x6 (24 sts)
R11 – *sc 2, dec* x6 (18 sts)
Insert safety eyes between R10 and R11, about 7 stitches apart. NOTE: you will want the eyes on the opposite side of the head from where the rows start. This way the color changes are not on the front of the doll.
Begin stuffing head to medium firmness. Beware not to overstuff because this will elongate the head rather than leaving it in the nice oval shape.
R12 – *sc, dec* x6 (12 sts)
R13 – *sc 2, dec* x3 (9 sts)
Do not tie off. Continue to Body.

R21 – *sc 3, inc* x6 (30 sts)
R22-24 – sc in each sc (30 sts per row). Tie off leaving a tail for sewing body base on
Body Base
In Skin Tone/Purple Yarn, Ch 2, sc 6 into second ch from hook
R1 – inc in each sc (12 sts)
R2 – *sc, inc* x6 (18 sts)
R3 – *sc 2, inc* x6 (24 sts)
R4 – *sc 3, inc* x6 (30 sts) Tie off.
Bodice (aka boobs)
In Black Yarn, ch 11
R1 – Starting in second ch from hook, sc, sc, hdc, dc, dc, sl st in same ch as dc, sl st in next ch, dc in same ch as sl st, dc, hdc, sc, sc. Tie off leaving tail for sewing to body.
Arms (make 2)
In Skin Tone Yarn, Ch 2, sc 5 into second ch from hook
R1-3 – sc in each sc (5 sts per row) Tie off leaving tail to sew to body
Tentacles (make 6 of each color)
The tentacles are made by making a purple spiral and a black spiral and then you sc the two together. Begin by making the purple spirals…
In Purple Yarn, ch 13, starting in second ch from the hook, inc using sc x3, inc using hdc x3, inc using dc x3, inc using triple crochet x 3. Tie off leaving tail to sew to body.
In Black Yarn, ch 13, starting in second ch from the hook, inc using sc x3, inc using hdc x3, inc using dc x3, inc using triple crochet x 3. Do not tie off.
Line up black and purple with purple on the inside. Using tail from black spiral, sc the two spirals together along the first side. This should be 24 sc. Ch 5, starting in second ch from the hook, inc using sc x2, inc using hdc x2. Sc the two spirals together along the other side (ch side). I did about 8 sc. Tie off leaving a tail to sew to the body.
Hair
With White Yarn (I used grey and realized after that it was a bad choice, so the pictures use grey), Ch 2, sc 6 into second ch from hook
R1 – inc in each sc (12 sts)
R2 – *sc, inc* x6 (18 sts)
R3 – *sc 2, inc* x6 (24 sts)
R4 – *sc 3, inc* x6 (30 sts)
R5 – *sc 4, inc* x6 (36 sts)
R6-9 – sc in each sc (36 sts per row)
In Row 10 you are creating the hair strands. Flip the part you just finished “inside out” so the you are crocheting around the other direction. You do this because when you flip the strands up to style you want them to be right side out. Scroll down to assembly for reference if my explanation isn’t clear.
R10 – (ch 21, starting in second ch from hook, sc x16, hdc x4, skip 1 sc on R9, slip stitch) x18 Do the first 12 in white, 1 in grey, 4 more in white, and then the last one in grey. Tie off leaving a really long tail for sewing. Flip the wig cap right side out again.
Assembly
The following images give visual steps for styling the hair.
