FREE PATTERN – Super Baby

I am in love with the original Incredibles movie. I could go on for hours about all the different wonderful pieces, from the choice of super powers to the amazing design.

This past week the newest Incredibles movie premiered and if you haven’t seen it yet, bookmark this page and come back later because you need to see it now! It was AMAZING!! The characters are stong, the villian is great, the plot is awesome. If you have seen, please DM me or email me or something so we can fangirl over it together.

ANYWAY, I was so excited in anticipation for the movie that I created this adorable Super Baby pattern. Now I did not add a mask because Jack Jack does not wear one very often, but please feel free to add one and post pictures so I can see!

What you need to create your own Super Baby-

Yarn – Cream, Red, Orange and Black

Crochet Hook size 3.5 or an E/4

Scissors

10 mm safety eyes

Sewing needle

Optional – pins, stitch markers, snacks, and tunes

Note: I crochet continuously from head to the bottom of the body, so I break it up so you know what portion you are on, but the row numbers will continue to increase because you are not going to tie off.

With Cream Yarn chain 2

R1: Single crochet 6 into second chain from the hook (6 stitches)

R2: [Increase] x6 (12 sts)

R3: [SC 1 into next SC, increase] x6 (18 sts)

R6: [SC 1 into next 4 SC, increase] x6 (36 sts)

R7-9: [SC 1 into each SC] (36 sts)

R10: [SC 1 into next 4 SC, decrease] x6 (30 sts)

R14: [Decrease] x6 (6 sts)

Body –

R19-20: SC 1 into each SC (15 sts)

R21:  [SC 1 into next 3 SC, decrease] x3 (12 sts)

Stuff the body

R22: Decrease x6 (6sts)

Tie off. Leave a long tail and sew up through the bottom of the body so the butt flattens.

Arms (make 2)-

With Cream Yarn chain 2

R1:  SC 4 into second chain from the hook (4 sts)

R2: With Black Yarn SC 1 into each SC (4sts)

R3: With Red Yarn SC 1 into each SC (4 sts)

R4-R6: SC in each SC (4sts)

Tie Off

Legs (make 2) –

With Black Yarn chain 2

R1: SC 6 into second chain from the hook (4 sts)

R2-5: With Red Yarn SC 1 into each SC (5 sts)

Tie Off

Hair –

With Orange Yarn ch 7

Turn, slip stitch in second ch from end, slip stitch, sc, sc, half double, half double

Tie off.

With Orange Yarn  ch 2

Sc 6 in second stitch from the hook

Tie off.

To sew the doll together, attach each arm to the side of the body. Flatten the open ends of the legs and sew them to the last row of 15. These are used to help the doll sit up on its own. For the hair, sew the small circle to the top of the head. Then attach the other orange piece to the center of the circle so it sits straight up.
