In Skin Tone Yarn, Ch 2, sc 6 into second ch from hook
R1 – inc in each sc (12 sts)
R2 – *sc, inc* x6 (18 sts)
R3 – *sc 2, inc* x6 (24 sts)
R4 – *sc 3, inc* x6 (30 sts)
R5 – *sc 4, inc* x6 (36 sts)
R6-8 – sc in each sc (36 sts per row)
R9 – *sc 4, dec* x6 (30 sts)
R10 – *sc 3, dec* x6 (24 sts)
R11 – *sc 2, dec* x6 (18 sts)
Insert safety eyes between R10 and R11, about 7 stitches apart. NOTE: you will want the eyes on the opposite side of the head from where the rows start. This way the color changes are not on the front of the doll.
Begin stuffing head to medium firmness. Beware not to overstuff because this will elongate the head rather than leaving it in the nice oval shape.
R12 – *sc, dec* x6 (12 sts)
R13 – *sc 2, dec* x3 (9 sts)
Do not tie off. Continue to Body.
R14 – sc in each sc (9 sts) Switch to Green Yarn
R15 – sc in each sc (9 sts)
R16 – sc in each sc (9 sts)
R17 – sc in each sc (9 sts)
R18 – sc in each sc (9 sts)
R19 (the bottom of the dress)- [Ch 5, turn, and starting in the second ch from the hook, sc, sc, hdc, hdc, skip 1 sc, sl st] x5 tie off leaving a tail for sewing.
In Green Yarn, Ch 2, sc 5 into second ch from hook
R1 – sc in each sc (5 sts) Switch to Skin Tone Yarn
R2 – sc in each sc (5 sts)
R3 – sc in each sc (5 sts)
R4 – sc in each sc (5 sts)
R5 – sc in each sc (5 sts)
R6 – sc in each sc (5 sts) tie of leaving a tail for sewing
In Sparkle Yarn, ch 3, slip stitch into first ch. Tie off and leave a tail for sewing.
In Skin Tone Yarn ch 2, sc 4 into second ch from hook
R1-3 – Sc in each sc
Tie off, leaving a tail for sewing
In Yellow Yarn, Ch 2, sc 6 into second ch from hook
R1 – inc in each sc (12 sts)
R2 – *sc, inc* x6 (18 sts)
R3 – *sc 2, inc* x6 (24 sts)
R4 – *sc 3, inc* x6 (30 sts)
R5 – *sc 4, inc* x6 (36 sts)
R6-8 – sc in each sc (36 sts per row)
R9 starts by making the bangs
R9 – ch 15, turn and starting in second ch from hook inc, inc, inc, hdc, dc, tc, tc, dtc, dtc, tc, tc, dc, dc, hdc. (You are now off the ch and working into R8) 3 sc, hdc 20 dc, hdc, 2 sc. Do not finish Round, slip stitch and tie off leaving a long tail for sewing.
In Yellow Yarn, Ch 2, sc 6 into second ch from hook
R1 – inc in each sc (12 sts)
R2 – *sc, inc* x6 (18 sts)
R3-5 -sc in each sc (18 sts per row)
R6 – *sc, dec* x6 (12 sts)
Tie off leaving a tail for sewing
With Green Yarn, ch 5, in first ch [tr x3, ch 4, sl st, ch 4, tr x3, ch 4, sl st]. Ch 20. Tie off leaving a tail for sewing. Wrap original tail around center of bow 4-5 times and tie to itself to secure.
In Sparkle Yarn, Ch 2, sc 6 into second ch from hook
R1 – inc in each sc (12 sts)
R2-3 – sc in each sc (12 sts per row)
R4 – dec, sc in remaining sc (11 sts)
R5 – dec, sc in remaining sc (10 sts)
R6 – dec, sc in remaining sc (9 sts)
R7 – dec, sc in remaining sc (8 sts)
R8 – dec, sc in remaining sc (7 sts)
R9 – dec, sc in remaining sc (6 sts)
R10 – dec, sc in remaining sc (5 sts)
R11 – dec, sc in remaining sc (4 sts)
