    FREE PATTERN – Mermaid

As Mer-May comes to an end I wanted to finally post my mermaid pattern! I made this pattern generic enough that you could switch up the colors to personalize your mermaid, so if you wanted a blonde, a red head, a blue tail, or a green tail, all you need is a different color of the same yarn. Don’t forget to take lots of pictures of your final product and tag me on Instagram and Facebook (@thecrochetqueendesigns). And please Repin on Pinterest, Like me on Facebook, and Follow me on Instagram! What You Need Yarn weight 4 Skin Tone (Yarn Bee, Cream) Hair Color (I Love This Yarn, Brown) Main…

This makes them very difficult to use, and unfortunately these are all I can find in my local craft stores. Or if they are metal they are closed hoop meant for knitting and I crochet. A couple of months back when I was working on the sweater for my sister-in-law, I was actually using one of…

How to: Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, and Double Crochet

When you are first starting to crochet, three of the main stitches you will be working with are Single Crochet (SC), Half Double Crochet (HDC), and Double Crochet (DC). Please keep in mind for this tutorial I will be working with the US versions of these Stitches. If you are using a pattern that is from the UK make sure to take a look at a conversion chart because their DC is our SC and so forth. It can get very confusing, I learned that the hard way! Terms to know! Working yarn – the yarn that leads back to the ball of yarn Yarn over – Taking the working…
