    I love the movie Moana. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, and I feel like the overall message of the movie is super powerful. I am glad that Disney has created another female lead that is strong and independent (like Mulan, Tiana, and Merida). When I first started crocheting, Moana was always my go to background movie, or background music, so it was only appropriate that I created a pattern for her! I have made Moana several times, and she is definitely my favorite pattern to crochet.     When crocheting and creating patterns, it is important to understand why and how to create different shapes. When it comes to the princess skirt, they are usually big and billowy, like a ballgown, or they are loose, like a modern dress.
